In most cases it is suffice to provide a few instructions to the gas installer. One of our installers will go through the installation of the custom fireplace with the applicable site representatives prior to receiving the custom fireplace. In addition, technical support is available at any time during the fireplace installation or at any time you have any questions or concerns. In-person assistance may be arranged for a fee but it is not necessary by any means. In case of on-site collaboration, one of our designers will travel to the location to troubleshoot any custom fireplace installation issues.

Direct vent fireplaces offer both safety and efficiency benefits, but their installation demands meticulous attention:
        Proper Sealing: Direct vent systems are sealed units, meaning they draw air for combustion from outside and expel exhaust gases directly outside. A sealed fit is essential to maintain this separation and ensure safety.
        Clearance and Combustibles: Direct vents have specific clearance requirements from combustible materials like wood, drywall, and insulation. An improper installation could lead to heat damage or even fires.
        Draft and Performance: Correct venting is essential for efficient operation. Poor installation can result in drafting issues, decreased performance, and potential hazards like backdrafts.

Custom Fireplace Warranty

Fireplace Concepts North America warrants the components and materials in the gas appliance to be free from manufacturing and material defects for a period of one year from date of delivery. No warranty issued for fireplace installation / gas / electrical / venting and labour. It is recommended that the fireplace is to be checked over / serviced / cleaned every three months if in use on daily basis. A minimum one time service is to be done if fireplace is to be used on an occasional basis. Fireplace Concepts North America grants no warranty, implied or stated, for the installation or maintenance of the fireplace, and assumes no responsibility of any consequential damage(s). This warranty will be void if the appliance is not installed by a qualified installer in accordance with installation instructions. It will also be void if the appliance is not operated and maintained according to the operating instructions supplied with the unit, and does not extend to:
    a) firebox/burner assembly damaged by accident, neglect, misuse, abuse, alterations, negligence of others,
    b) the costs of removal, reinstallation or transportation of defective parts on the appliance,
    c) identical or consequential damage.

Extended warranty is available upon request.
